VERSE OF THE WEEK
The Son is the radiance of his glory and the representation of his essence, and he sustains all things by his powerful word,[b] and so when he had accomplished cleansing for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high. Hebrews 1:3
SCRIPTURE
"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness” 2 Timothy 3:16.
We believe that the scriptures were initially communicated and received in Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic. The Greek word for scripture, ‘graphe,’ means, in essence, a Holy written thing, which forms what we call the Bible. The term 'inspiration' means God-breathed, which conveys the idea that the words in the bible originate from God; the words are therefore understood to be the words of God transmitted to human recipients who preserved the words spoken by God in written form. The Scriptures, therefore, have a human and divine element in their development and transmission.
