The first controversies to affect the Church resulted in a leadership meeting attended by the apostles of Jesus; the Apostles decision regarding the controversies, was concluded in agreement with the Holy Ghost. (Acts 15:1-8, 28). The outcome was: teachings (doctrines) that Jewish believers should understand and non-Jewish believers should obey. The Apostles were then sent out to build the church by spreading the Word (Acts 15: 9-41).

The members of Ecclesia Ministries Church, like the early church, do not adopt a rigid denominational identification - such as Pentecostal, Charismatic, Baptist, Armenian, Calvinist, Methodist, etc. As mentioned above the early church recognised core beliefs, agreeable to both Jew and Gentile and was not identified by any one particular organisational teaching, view or practice from a human insight or perspective. The scriptures indicate the worship practices and observances, which identified how the 'Church of God' functioned, we aim to be led by the same principles!

As a result of following the practices of the early Church (I Romans 12;7-8), Sunday services will vary in order and structure from week to week and may consist of various activities such as: group singing; solo singing; live music; teachings; exhortations - encouraging words to strengthen and relate to individual circumstances; scripture readings; adult/children Sunday school and testimonies.
